Exploring the Future of Retinal AI Tools with Choroid Analytics Research Lab

This past May, the NetraMind and Choroid Analytics Research Lab team participated in ARVO 2025, one of the world’s leading gatherings for vision science and ophthalmology.

We showcased our four flagship modules:

• AMD Detection & Progression Prediction

• Automated OCT Report Generator

• AI-Powered Annotation Tool

• Heidelberg Choroidal Analysis

It was more than a showcase—it was a conversation. We gathered clinical feedback, explored research collaborations, and refined how our tools support real-world reading centers and retinal specialists.

AMRISH SELVAM - 2022 ARVO HOT TOPIC AWARD RECIPIENT

Amrish Selvam, third year medical student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine working in the CAR Lab, received the Hot Topic Award for his poster, Pigment Epithelial Detachment Vascularity Index (PEDVI) in Neovascular Age-Related Macular Degeneration: An Image Processing Approach.

In this presentation, Mr. Selvam introduces a novel biomarker, pigment epithelial detachment vascularity index (PEDVI), for characterizing pigment epithelial detachments and to help quantify treatment responses and disease progression in patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration.
